These child-size pleated masks are specially designed and made by Canadian fashion designer Kitty Chiu to fit comfortably and snugly around the face.
$5 from the sale of each mask will be donated to the Love TPL Community Campaign, as well as the Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre, so that we can help those who are most vulnerable during these difficult times.
Fabric is pre-washed to prevent shrinkage. We recommend that mask is washed prior to first use using cold water, and tumble low or line dry. If desired, iron on high with steam to press pleated folds back to shape.
Please wash masks after each use with hot water; treat it like your underwear.
Note: These non-medical masks do not protect you from contracting COVID-19. Handmade Masks may be useful in situations where healthy people are unable to remain two metres away from others (ex. using public transit or at a grocery store) as an additional measure to protect others. For more information, please refer to the guidelines published by the Government of Canada.

If you live in Toronto East York, and prefer to pick up directly from our shop at 1231 Woodbine Avenue, please select "direct pick-up at studio" for your shipping option, and we will be in touch regarding contactless pick-up.
Follow us here for an on-going chronology of our mask-making adventures!
Never did we ever imagine that we'd be carrying face masks for sale on our website. However, these are unprecedented times; when Gotamago founder Lichia made a few masks for family, and immediately received requests from strangers to purchase them, she realized that there was an urgent need in the community for a place to safely and quickly acquire masks, especially for essential workers who are at risk every day.
Meanwhile, Lichia's long time friend Kitty (friends since highschool!) had also been contemplating producing masks, not for profit, but for the greater good of the community. She approached Lichia, and a collaboration was born.
Neither Lichia nor Kitty will be making much profit from the sale of each mask, but what we hope to gain is a stronger community, united in our efforts to defeat the virus.
